2022.01.26 13:51 pawrentalunit Anal gland infection advice

Hi everyone. Two weeks ago my pup was becoming quite fussy with her food and then we noticed some scooting behaviour. We took her to the vet and they diagnosed her with an anal gland condition. To remedy this, we were given pills and some anti-inflamatory liquid medication and told to administer for one week.
Following the week, she seemed better and her poos were solid again. She was also eating better. However fast forward 6 days after that (today, Wednesday) she started scooting again and we noticed an orange / yellow discharge.
My question is - we still have more antibiotics left. Should we put her back on the antibiotics? Is there something that's potentially causing the infection to come back?

2022.01.26 13:51 Nicecrumb264 Elevated ALT but ultrasound came up clear…

I had blood work done in october 2021 that’s showed elevated ALT (43). Doctor said this is a mild elevation and to come back in 3 months to retest. Well I went back recently and ALT is now 77. I have been tested for hepatitis and that was clear. All other liver numbers are normal. My doctor sent me to get an ultrasound to check for fatty liver, but it came back clear. Now I’m supposed to see a GI doc for further testing. I used to drink, socially, but not since October. What could be going on? Can you have no fatty liver but have NASH?

2022.01.26 13:51 learninglife1828 Picking 6 peppers to grow in the garden. Would like some advice.

Hey all,
I have limited space and would like to grow a variety of chilis to cook spicy food. I like to cook Mexican, Indian, Chinese, and Thai food. With these cuisines in mind, I thought some good ones to start with are:

  1. Jalapeño (base Mexican)
  2. Scotch Bonnet (replace habanero and gives Jamaican options)
  3. Thai green chilis. (Used for Thai and Indian)
  4. Heaving facing chili (Chinese) 5/6?
I also like specifically Sichuan from China, so would like an opinion for that.
Thank you for any thoughts shared!

2022.01.26 13:51 Puffyblake Part ownership

We have a smallish start up that is ramping up to offer our service in the next month or so. Ownership is divided 40/40/60 amongst the 3 partners.
The 60% owner wants to bring on someone else, and offer 9% of his equity to a newcomer who will basically just be a salesman. His reasoning is to give the salesman “ownership mentality” but 0 decision making ability in the business. Decision making will lie solely with the 40/40/51 partners.
My question is mainly philosophical. I’m trying to wrap my head around his intent, because I can’t see his point.
What does “ownership” in a business even mean? Just a 9% of profit paycheck? It doesn’t make sense to me. What is an “ownership mindset” for someone who doesn’t get any decision making ability in the business?

2022.01.26 13:51 therealtinasky Do we know or have reasonable guesses about the specific conditions that lead to deposits of rare or unusual minerals?

I've long wondered how the different varieties of certain mineral types form and understand we dont always know, but in many cases, we do know the specific chemical or component minerals that make up something new.
What I rarely seem to find is any research on how the specific components were brought to the site where formation occurs.
For instance, Fairburn agate is cited as having its colors present due to trace amounts of minerals like hematite and goethite among others, but how did that combination of elementa come to that location? Did a meteor provide the iron? Did a nearby lake or river wash minerals from other areas?
I ask because I also wonder what a massive deposit of modern materials, say a giant pile of millions of vulcanized rubber tires, would add to the environment and which chemical elements there might contribute to mineral composition in the future.

2022.01.26 13:51 HrustKosti Form 10-12B/A released. What happens next?

LYLT ( Loyalty Ventures Inc ) as an example: (EDGAR DATABASE IS USED)

OK, BBIG does not like to disclose each and every step they take and we know that such a huge gap between 10-12B and 10-12B/A happened because they had issues, which they now successfully resolved. Our timetable so far looks like this

What next?

Before form 10 can be declared effective, everything must be known and disclosed in a Form 10. If you look at LYLT there are 3 amendments in total. Compare No.1 and No.3. No.1 does not have distribution ratio/ dates. TYDE amendment has ratio but does not have dates. So I assume as long as company does not set dates, SEC will not declare form 10 to be effective.

How much time required?

Again, all only speculations (they are fun though), but from LYLT we see that from No.2 amendment to No.3, 3 weeks passed and then 3 weeks to LYLT start trading. We may get same periods, maybe different. I think if company finally released something, who normally is silent, all parts started moving so it may be faster than 3 weeks until dates are known.

TLDR
Company will get SEC comments for amendment of Form 10. SEC will quickly assess shit. Company most likely will not file communication between them and SEC(if they do, it would be great though), so be prepared for a few weeks of silence. Then we get one more amendment, where dates will be disclosed. Then 1-2 weeks for Form 10 to get approved and declared effective by SEC. Then about 3-4 weeks until distribution. All process might take more than 6 weeks. but record date will be known as soon as next amendment is disclosed which as per example above may take 3 weeks (I think less than that)

P.S
I dont have crystal ball with all info. But I find it fun to look up stuff. Also, helps to be kept up to date. If I make mistake, I will not deny it.
